We believe that volunteers bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities, achievement and enjoyment of children at our school. Volunteers can expect to be involved in a range of activities including:

  • Supporting a small group of children or an individual with a task. For example, listening to pupils reading, playing a game to develop maths skills
  • Undertaking art and craft activities
  • Helping to prepare materials for lessons
  • Creating displays of children’s work
  • Working in the school library
  • General administration support (e.g. photocopying and laminating)
  • Helping groups of children who may be working in the vegetable garden

Volunteers should possess the following qualities:

  • Enjoy spending time with children
  • Patience
  • Reliability
  • Able to work in a team

Please speak to the office or your child’s class teacher if you think you could spare some time to share with us.
