Modern Foreign Languages Teacher/HLTA
I have a long association with Oatlands School having seen my six children attend here. We all have lots of happy memories.
I am passionate about teaching languages to children from an early age. I was originally trained as a secondary teacher and taught german, french and spanish at St Aidans for 5 years before taking a very long break to bring up my large family.
Out of school I love outdoors and love fell walking with the family and long cycle rides with my husband. I also enjoy baking bread.
I am the School Administrator and have worked in the school office since 2013.
I ran the ECO Council for two years with Miss Ross and achieved Silver Award in summer term 2017. I also ran a gardening after-school club in the summer term 2017 and the children became finalists in the Grow a Herb Garden Competition at the Great Yorkshire Show and were awarded a third place certificate. In my spare time I grow and show Fuchsias and Pelargoniums. At home I have two cats and a dog who also keep me busy.
I have worked in school since 2000. My role as School Business Manager is shared between Oatlands Infants and Pannal Primary. I previously worked as a bank manager.
Out of school I am married with one son and enjoy cycling, walking and running.
I joined the team of Oatlands Infants as Admin assistant but I have had 3 children who have all been through the school and we all have very happy memories of their time here. We have 3 hens!
